Our houses are nestled on the hillside among olive trees,
overlooking a pine forest, with the vista of Aphales bay
spread below. As a summer holiday destination Levendi's
provides all choices of seaside activities, with the added
benefit of being on a traditional and geographically
spectacular island. Most guests don't move far from the
pool's edge during the day. However, the alternative of
an early morning dip in a quite exquisite swimming cove
is an easy one; and mornings spent at the Pavilion for
holistic therapeutic and/or aromatherapy massage are certain
to rejuvenate.
If more wide-ranging activities are your
choice you are able to charter a 12m yacht to explore nearby
deserted islands, hire a dingy to take you around the island's
shores to find one of our many otherwise inaccessible beaches,
for swimming, snorkeling and picnic hamper lunches, or take a
day cruise which can include a fully prepared beach BBQ
meal.
Your choices for dining and foods
are wide. If you don't want to prepare food whilst on
holidays, all the villages have restaurants and tavernas. Or,
you may prefer to buy from the shops and greengrocer's to
prepare your own meals 'at home.' Alternatively, we invite you
to share the produce of our organic gardens to cook up
sumptuous feasts in our outdoor kitchen, and dine under the
stars.
Peaceful and quieter days of spring and autumn are filled with
wildflowers and gentle sunlight-ideal for walking our mountain
paths, enjoying fresh air tainted with the aroma of naturally
growing herbs, and seeing views from high mountain villages
into valleys, with the surrounding islands laid out at your
feet. For those artistically inclined guests, there is
no shortage of subject matter during these seasons; and
connoisseurs of olive oil will enjoy the process of the harvest. Winter is the time to hide away beside a snug wood heater,
with the bay taking out its moods on the cliffs opposite,
giving inspiration for your creative expressions.
