On Ithaca

  • Boating – family favourite: hire (easy drive) motor boats to find small pebbled coves of clear waters around the heavily indented shores. Even in summer you are often the only people in your favourite cove
  • Snorkelling and diving – some of the most gin-clear waters in the Mediterranean are around our shores, making snorkeling and diving truly memorable
  • Live like a local – perhaps a strange ‘activity’ to list, but once you’ve relaxed into the slower pace of the Greek summer you’ll find yourselves happily whiling away hours, cool drink at hand and under the shade of trees at the village eateries. Watch the world pass by as you struggle to make a decision about why you need to move from your chairs
  • Walking/trekking – the island has kilometers of mountain-to-valley-to-sea pathways to explore. Scenery breath-taking. History abounds and is easily found. Spring and autumn are the walking seasons. We supply maps and information for self-guided trekking and/or will happily supply you with a knowledgeable guide.
  • Kayaking – sea kayaks are available for experienced and novice kayakers. Clear and smooth seas mean that kayaking is a rich experience. Take yourselves or take an experienced kayaking leader to show you the hidden shoreline gems of Ithaca.
  • Private and captained boat excursions – never has a Levendis guest ended this day out without a huge smile on their face, no matter their age. A traditional wooden boat has been lovingly restored by its captain and is licensed to take a maximum of 12 people for a day on the sea which you ‘design’. Perhaps you want to visit nearby islands, explore Ithaca’s shores, stop mid-ocean to dive off the roof top into clear bottomless seas. Whatever your choice the smiling captain will provide……..with mezes and drinks as well.
